Dear FDC Members, Board of Directors and Scholarship Committee:
I would like to thank each and every one of you for the honor of receiving the FDC scholarship. I am sincerely grateful for the recognition as well as the extraordinary award. Please know that this award will help me to continue my dance education and is truly appreciated.
Most of the FDC’s competitions have been my home for the past eleven years, each helping to contribute to my growth not just as a dancer, but as a person. Your encouragements, dedication, the friendships, kindness, and caring are just a few of the generous gifts given to me. By example, all of you have taught me to reach for the highest level of professionalism, all while maintaining a degree of compassion and understanding, in the competitive world of dance. I have had the time of my life dancing at EVERY competition! The fun, the smiles, the laughter and even the tears are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Please know that as I step into the next phase of my life, I will confidently pursue my passion for dance, and as I do, I hope to continue as a very proud example of an FDC dancer. I love being a part of the community of dancers, amazing people with wonderful talents and hearts. I look forward to sharing that world with others in my future.
